Mission Stations

In answering God’s call to serve communities affected by disaster, Disciples Volunteering serves in partnership with regions, congregations, and Week of Compassion to provide Mission Stations. Where Disciples Volunteering is invited to partner after a disaster, we work to ensure adequate accommodations for volunteers at a local Disciples church and appropriate work projects with ecumenical partners. Hospitality and site leadership (not necessarily construction supervision) are typically provided by Long Term Volunteers who have been through a training process and have experience with disaster response mission trips.

*nearly year round; site of a focused Summer Project June-August, 2011
